Moon Rising
As I walked through the silent, snow-covered valley, a newly risen crescent moon guided my path. The air was crisp and clear, with the Milky Way arching majestically overhead, flowing across the inky sky. I felt a profound sense of peace and solitude, tempered by the fear of traversing that empty landscape. In the distance, the jagged peak of Cerro Torre rose above the frozen lake Laguna Torre, its ice glistening and mirroring the starry sky above. Ironically, I hadn’t planned on doing astrophotography, but I made good time, arriving early to perfect conditions. I set to work, using multiple exposures and more patience than usual, producing an image far superior to those taken when the sun finally began to rise.
